Live and virtual: tour of the malthouse and mill laboratory
New times – new ideas. We are very pleased to be able to show the members of the VdB (Association of the Baking Industry) our malthouse via a virtual live tour on 1 September! Jochen Hauptmann, QMB at Bindewald and active VDB board member, will explain the production of flavour and caramel malt flours to roasted, special and organic malt flours and respond live to online questions via chat. The virtual tour will show the production process of our malts, from steeping to germination and kilning.
Afterwards, we will visit the mill laboratory, where Martin Diehl, Head of QS Mill, will briefly and succinctly present the characteristics of the new harvest with a focus on the Southwest.
