Mill and Malt House

It is 100 years and counting for Bindewald. From the get-go and through thick and thin, we served the food and beverage industry as their reliable partner. Our mid-sized company supplies customers with wheat, rye, and malt fl our as well as with barley and wheat brewing malts. Bindewald is situated in one of the most fertile grain cultivation areas in Germany’s southwest. This and our combined mill-malt house operations give us a unique advantage as supplier of grain products.


Tradition and Progress

1871
The Bindewald wheat mill was established in Bischheim.

1985
Bindewald acquired a malt house in Mainz and started to produce brewer’s malt as well as flour.

1992
Addition of a new malt house to our operations in Bischheim.

1997
Bindewald begins to supply malt flour and flakes.

2000
Bindewald products become available to food stores.

2002
Acquisition of the malt house in Kirchheimbolanden for the production of specialty malts.

2006
Construction of the bagging and logistics centre.

2009
Modernisation of the wheat mill.

2011
Pelleting of grain by-products.

2012
Installation of a new malt mill.

2013
Modernisation of the specialty malt production in Kirchheimbolanden.
